HYDRATE YOUR BODY, HYDRATE YOUR SKIN

Updated: Jun 14

A dull complexion that won’t go away even with maximum highlighter and bright blush has a likely cause: dehydration. Skin that’s lacking moisture has exactly the opposite look of a lit-from-within glow. But there are super-simple ways to keep your complexion hydrated from the inside out so you can wake up with healthy, naturally glowy skin every day. Hellooo, gorgeous!

Use water-boosting skincare products

Slathering on a thick, super rich cream isn’t always the solution when your skin is in dire need of moisture. What it does require: water-attracting ingredients like hyaluronic acid, a superstar hydrator that can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water.

Eat water-rich foods

Do you have a design in mind for your blog? Whether you prefer a trendy postcard look or you’re going for a more editorial style blog - there’s a stunning layout for everyone.

Foods that contain mostly water can be just as hydrating for your body (and skin) as drinking H2O. Eat water-dense fruits and veggies such as berries, watermelon, plums, peaches, cucumbers, celery, bell peppers, and lettuce — throughout the day.

Double up on treatments

When your skin is super dry, use a hydrating mask on top of your serum, which creates a barrier and forces the moisturising ingredients in your serum to penetrate skin. Try a combination of Tropic's Rainforest Dew Hydration Serum and Deep Hydration Cooling Soothing Mask, which you wash off after 30 minutes for super-soft, super-moisturized skin.

Get a deeper clean

Using a sonic-powered cleansing brush to apply your cleanser can help your skin-care products penetrate beneath the surface so they hydrate at a deeper level. Try Liberex Sonic Vibrating Facial Cleansing Brush, which uses sonic frequency to gently clean the skin before applying your moisturiser.

Exfoliate regularly

You might be stocking up on the latest and greatest, but your skin may not be absorbing the hydrators you’re applying. Exfoliation is key in removing the dead skin cells from the top layer of skin, which can prevent skin-care ingredients from doing their job. Use a plant-based exfoliating serum or pad every other night such as Fruit Peel Resurfacing Serum. And be sure to apply a cream post-peel.

Drink water like it's your job

You already know this one. Eight glasses of water will keep your skin looking healthy and plump.

Use a hydrating eye cream

The skin around your eyes is the thinnest skin on your face, which is why it can easily lose moisture, and you can end up with fine lines and a dry, crepe-y texture. Consider a light, hydrating eye treatment such as Eye Dream Age-defying Overning Butter Balm as part of your daily skin-care routine to keep this delicate area hydrated and smooth.
